Music Of The Day..

Do you enjoy faint hippie/California/1960's references?

...then you will lovelovelove Alexander Ebert's entire album (the lead singer from Edward Sharpe and The Magnetic Zeros). Down below is Truth, perhaps his most popular track from the album. If you enjoy this then definitely listen to the entire album...you will not be disappointed!

"He was like, James Dean, for sure.."

Photobucket

Here is a picture I took before going to bed to show you my new hair colour! Nothing too drastic, but I decided to go for a darker, richer brown for fall/winter. So far I'm loving it! Ps. I suggest that every one of you out there gets a gloss, it will change your life!! My hair has never felt or looked so healthy, I swear it's a miracle.

Also, have a listen to Lana Del Rey....my new music obsession. I seriously just listen to her on repeat, it's starting to become a bit unhealthy. Listen to Blue Jeans and Video Games I've posted down below..

Enjoy :)

Montreal Museum of Fine Arts

Last week I went to the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts in downtown Montreal to go see the Jean Paul Gaultier exhibition which was absolutely breathtaking. It was incredibly well presented highlighting all of the key components Gaultier is famous for: Madonna bra, cross-gender, sexuality, nudity, different cultures, fetishes, etc. The moving facial images on the mannequins that would wink, smile, and speak to the admirers walking by in French added a fun yet eerie sensation to the already dark, androgynous, and haunting rooms. Here are some images taken on my handy disposable camera of the mind-blowing works of art by JPG.

On another note I am also adding a photo of myself in front of one of my favourite contemporary paintings at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts of a room in Versailles...makes me feel like I am back in France (sigh).

Brandy Melville silk black shorts.
Anthropologie charcoal top (it's actually a pajama top that I kind of wear during the day...hehe).
Club Monaco crystal headband (that I use as a necklace from time to time).

NOWNESS.com

So for the past few hours I've been frantically awing over the numerous, exceptionally visually stunning videos that Nowness features on their website. Please, please, please check out this website if you haven't already, it's truly such an inspiring site filled with anything fashion, music, art, and food related. So out of the hundreds of videos I've been watching (exaggerating just a bit...) here are just a few I'm loving.

Watch them all and enjoy :)

Pink, Gold, and Moss

Photobucket
Colored denim is absolutely everywhere nowadays, so it can be a bit daunting when trying to find the perfect color/fit. Well ladies and gents I have found the perfect pair! While I was in Miami, I went to Anthropologie in the wonderful Aventura mall and saw these Pilcro Stet Slim Straight jeans in Pink, Gold, and Moss. I bought the ones in Moss and now want to buy the two other colors. I love them because they are a more mutted colour; I truly despise colored jeans that are super bright and neon looking....yuck! Colored jeans in darker colors, neutrals, and pastels are the way to go!

Might I add that they also fit like a glove and are so flattering, especially for skinny jeans. I cannot wait to wear my Moss colored jeans with camel, black, and grey tones for the fall :)
